Join the volunteer crew!
Volunteers are our most important resource, period. Without them, we would be nothing.
We’re blessed to have built-up a small army of volunteers, but we’re always on the look out for more people to share roles and in the process be more resilient, as well as to allow us to do more activities and increase our impact.
We’re particularly in need of people to fill the following roles:
- Marketing and communications leadership & oversight role for the group (ideally involving being co-opted onto the management committee also). This is a crucial new role that would suit someone with significant experience in the marketing & communications field. They will need to be able to adapt to the realities of a small, volunteer-led group, and oversee a team of related volunteers (expected to require a few hours per week, especially as the group’s marcomms capacity is still in the development stage at present)
- Co-leads and helpers at the Kids’ Zone aspect of our Eco Living Fest events (every 2 months for 3-5 hrs, plus planning & organising for co-leads)
- Co-organisers of our electrical repair events (ideally every month for around 4hrs, but this role will be shared with other co-hosts so can be less)
- General help at Eco Living Fest events – e.g. welcome desk , leafleting outside, plant-based refreshments etc (every 2 months for 3-5 hrs)
- Digital marketing – e.g. social media, website etc (expected to require a few hours per month)
- Hand sewists to help upskill the public in clothes mending at our Eco Living Fest events (every 2 months for 3-5 hrs)
- Fixers at our electrical repair events (ideally every month for 3hrs, but this role will be shared with other fixers so can be less)
