A powerful reminder that wildlife isn't just wild, it's our lifeline! From the tiniest pollinators to majestic apex predators, every creature plays a vital role in the web of life.

Why wildlife matters:
๐ŸŒฟ Regulates ecosystems & maintains natural balance
๐ŸŒฟ Supports food security through pollination & pest control
๐ŸŒฟ Provides livelihoods for communities worldwide
๐ŸŒฟ Drives innovation โ€“ many medicines come from nature
๐ŸŒฟ Acts as climate allies, storing carbon in forests & oceans
๐ŸŒฟ Enriches our cultures, traditions & wellbeing

How you can still protect wildlife:
โœ… Support conservation organisations & wildlife reserves
โœ… Choose sustainable, wildlife-friendly products
โœ… Reduce plastic use โ€“ it harms animals on land & sea
โœ… Create wildlife-friendly gardens with native plants
โœ… Never buy products made from endangered species
โœ… Speak up for stronger wildlife protection laws
โœ… Educate others about the importance of biodiversity

The day may have passed, but the mission continues every single day. Let's ensure future generations inherit a planet as wild and wonderful as the one we know today. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ• From 1pm to 4pm
๐Ÿ“Œ Place: Holy Innocents Church, South Norwood

What if the โ€œweedsโ€ you walk past every day were actually hidden treasures?

Join plant expert Roy Vickery for a fascinating workshop where youโ€™ll learn to identify common plants growing all around us and discover how many of todayโ€™s weeds were once valued as important resources โ€” and might be again in the future.

Roy, a botanist who worked for many years at the Natural History Museum and is a specialist in plant folklore, will share stories, knowledge and practical tips to help you see everyday plants in a whole new way.

๐Ÿƒ Please bring two plants you consider weeds from your garden, window box, or even the street to discuss during the session.
